Wow, the past few years have just flown by and I have no idea what I have been doing!
After things calmed down a bit from Covid, I was still able to work from home for a bit before getting another job on the road.
I am really sick of being on the road. I have been applying to jobs left and right to try and stay local, doesn't have to be remote but not having to stay in a hotel 20+ days a month would be ideal.
Once I was back on the road traveling I had the opportunity to go to Coeur D'Alene Idaho. Not my first choice of places to visit especially because it was still winter for them in March of 2022, but it was pretty none the less. Here are a few pictures I took in the very short time I was up there.
After that I took a job in Athens GA, which wasn't really my scene at my age now lol. Lovely Ole College town that got packed on weekends with football games. So while everyone else was out partying I was trying to see some of the state of Georgia.
While in Georgia, the lovely weather decided to throw me a HUGE curve ball and Hurricane Ian showed up at our front door.
I will say that I got really lucky compared to a lot of people. Sure I had some damage to my roof which caused leaks and my whole fence around my house was gone BUT I could live in my house and didn't have any mold that grew even with the wet carpets. I was so thankful that while I was working that my boss let me go home for a few days to get things wrapped up and could get my claims started. Although that being said, I needed a new roof, some new walls and carpet.....and I had to take out loans for all of that because getting money from FIGA is a pain in the butt when your insurance company decides to claim bankruptcy and go out of business in Florida. I am STILL waiting for the 2nd check that they have to reissue due to how my mortgage is loaned to me. (Face Palm...lol)
