Wow!!!! There are so many words to describe this place. Massive, beautiful, colorful, unique, special, historic, wonderful.....and so on.

It costs a pretty penny to get in $65 for a full day pass which you need for this place. I also purchased the roof top tour for an extra $22 which of course was wonderful except that I felt too rushed during the tour.

The inside of the house that you can tour on your own with an audio recording was amazing!!! I chose not to use the audio as the book gave a good idea of each room in a few sentences.

The tour was LONG as hell.....by the time i made it to the basement I was ready to just get out.

If you come here plan to stay the whole day, the gardens are beautiful, the house is so massive that it takes over 2 hours I would say, there is a winery and other things to see.

I enjoyed myself today and hopefully some of these pictures will give you an idea of the beauty George Vanderbilt instilled in this home.
