Heading to the center

Hello!!!!

I am in a hotel tonight so I get the chance to update my blog over the past few days, and take a fantastic shower before I start sleeping int he car or a tent again. ;)

Today started out with a bit of a chilly morning in which I got my stuff together to head out for the day. It was nice not to have to pack up a wet tent amongst other things. The guys packed up their stuff and we were on our way to the start of their hiking track and for me to head to Humboldt Falls. This was a easy hike up a small incline to see the falls from far away.

After this I was back on the road heading to Te Anu, and found another hitchhiker on the road out who was just looking to get to Te Anu, so of course I picked him up for the ride. I don't mind helping people out which I have mentioned before of course. This guy has been out on the road for 3 months but when I picked him up it was only a few days but damn he friggan smelled!!! I had the windows down but gah there was no getting rid of it lol. Once I dropped him off i tried to get the stench out of the car by having every window open and driving fast on the highways lol.

The ride to Queenstown was stunning. These lakes are so clear and blue!!!! I am in awe over them, I couldn't stop enough to just be in their beauty. Of course they are all surround by giagantic mountains which were just as stunning.

I got to Queenstown around 3pm and checked into my hotel and took a nap. I have been so exhausted that this nap was just what I needed in a nice comfy bed. When I got up I headed over to the Queenstown garden to walk around the water and check it out. They have such a great park here! It has a skate park, ice rink (inside), frisbee golf, a nice track to walk and run on and tons of roses and other flowers along with a bowling green for their games. I ordered dinner in the room and am just about to go to sleep since I have a 4:40am wake up call to hopefully head out on a hot air balloon ride!!! Keeping my fingers crossed!!
