Last 2 days in Cairns

Well today I leave Cairns and head to Darwin for a week! Yesterday and today have been low key for me. Sleeping in and doing a bit of shopping. Gifts for a few people and some stuff that I need for the next month and a half of sleeping in a car or what not. I need to be prepared and they said that in Darwin and Alice Springs the costs of things go up quite a bit.

I did get chance to meet up with a friends relative up here in Cairns. We tried to meet up in Sydney but time didn't really work out. Fortunately he got the chance to be up here for work so we met up yesterday and went to the lagoon pool for a swim. Then the 3 of us all went out for dinner at a Thai resturant which was really good. Mary and I polished off 2 bottles of wine so we were a bit tipsy when we hit up the ice cream store lol.

It is really nice to meet new people hopefully a lot of the people I am meeting I will get the chance to see again at some point in life because they have all been wonderful.

I am sitting here just finishing up my lunch before heading back to the hotel for a swim before my flight. It may be a while before I can get internet for my laptop so hang in there!
