New Zealand!

Wahoooo! I made it to New Zealand in one piece. Ok, not that I thought I wouldn't but you never know what life has in store for you. My flight got in really late last night and by the time i got my luggage and car it was closing in on 12:15am. I was pretty wide awake because I was still running on the time in Australia which was 3 hours behind. So I figured I would drive out to Akaora (which is on the east coast of the south island) tonight so i could see the sun rise. The roads were like a snake who slithers in the dark, winding all over the place and couldn't see where you were. There was nothing but me on the road and a few nocturnal animals. Things were still, quiet and eerie. I wanted to stay up high in the hilly region for the sun, but the road ended up taking me down to the little city of Akaora, where I found a parking lot that had a few campers and cars in it, and decided to crash there. By the time I setteled in, it was 2am, and now I was ready for sleep. Although Mr. Sandman must of not known where I was because I barely caught any sleep. So at around 7am I got up and started to explore. WOW I grabbed a good place to wake up, my view was right on the water with beautiful green hills dotted with sheep and cows rising up from the ocean. It was a little cloudy and a bit foggy but it was beautiful non the less. Since nothing in this sleep little town opened till 9 or 10am, i headed back to Christchurch for the rest of the day, stopping anywhere I wanted to, to grab a picture.

I did a bit of walking around the city before I found a place that had the Patriots game on. I know I know! I am in a beautiful country and I stop to watch sports??? Yes yes! I needed to catch at least one game, too bad they lost. Anyhoo, I decided to check into my cheap hotel in the city and get a nap as I was exhausted from no sleep.

I got into my little tiny room and took a quick shower, then was off to bed, slept like a dog (cause we know babies rarely sleep WELL) till my alarm went off.

This room might be wicked tiny, but it is awesome! It has a double bed, TV, a frosted glass enclosed shower and toilet, where all of the doors are on industrial rollers and you can have different colored lights in the shower! hahaha!! So cool!

Well that is about it, I have a busy day tomorrow so I am going to try and get some sleep.
