Minor Roadblocks

We arrived in Melbourne fairly late at night and went to pick up the rental car. Ok, so I have NEVER stated that I am the brightest bulb on the tree and here is a moment that proves it. Before we left Mary noticed that I booked the rental car one day short. Ok no big deal we fixed that before we left. But Hertz, for the life of them couldn’t combine the 2 dam reservations and create 1 from them so we wouldn’t have to come back the next day to trade in the car. What a disaster the Hertz rental desk was. As a Rewards member technically my car should have been waiting for me….but it wasn’t. They said the next day it would be and they would upgrade the car since they were not able to combine the bookings for us.

So anyhoo, we get on the road and poor Mary’s legs, ankles and feet were so swollen from the flight that she had to make a trip to the urgent care clinic in our area near our hotel. She didn’t get back to the hotel till around 2:30 our Fiji time. But she got what she needed and was all set.
