Memorial Day

Yesterday was Memorial day and I didn't get the chance to post anything as I was not near a computer.
These were my thoughts that I wanted to share.
Days like today make me very emotional.
I am talking about emotions where seeing the veterans walking in the parade makes me cry. (A lot of parades make me cry, maybe I am a sap???)
I have never lost someone close to me who has been putting their life on the line for my freedom.
MY FREEDOM.....that is a very strong phrase. What is freedom to you?
Freedom to me is:
being able to vote
traveling where I want to when I want to
owning my own land and home
getting an education
making my own decisions
I could go on and on. A lot of these we take for granted on a regular basis.
I try very hard to acknowledge the men and women in uniform for their service.
Not just on holidays but any day throughout the year. I go out of my way in airports, grocery stores, malls where ever I may be to say...... "Thank you for your service"
Most times the reply I get back is......"Thank you for your support"
How could I NOT support you????
I hope that they understand my gratitude.
Please keep supporting the men and women, past, present and future who give you YOUR FREEDOM!
They need it more than anybody else.
