We got up really early today and headed to Rome. I could probably spend a whole week here!!!

We had a great walking tour of the city which was wicked long but so nice. Again we probably walked 5-8 miles but being able to see the city like this is totally worth it. We were able to see the Trevi fountain, The Colosseum which I would love to take a tour of someday, the Old City which is much lower in the ground that the current city so most of the ruins are still under current Rome. One thing we did see up close was the Parthenon and it was nothing like the one that my mom and I saw back in Tennessee. This one was a round building with a hole in the center of the roof.

The statues in Rome are definitely amazing and I still can’t fathom how the Romans made these statues with the tools they had back then. Not to mention all of the beautiful paintings they created, all of it totally blows my mind.
