It has been a few days since I have had the chance to update my travels. Over the past few days we have visited Piza and got to see the Leaning Tower which was nice to see, but that was about it. Of course there were a lot of people because it is a tourist attraction, and there are some other structures around the area, but not really worth spending must time there.

Because mom and I got split up at one point today, our tour guide keeps poking fun at me and telling me not to run off and get lost. Lol, I didn’t run off, it was my mom that got separated from the rest of the bunch. But anyhoo.....After leaving Piza, we went on a walking tour of Florence. We must have walked 5 miles by the time it was done. We saw one of the biggest churches I have ever seen in a while and the outside was incredibly beautiful.

We stayed at a really cool hostel and went for a swim while we were there. Our room had bunk beds and a nice balcony so we could see part of the city from out room. The hostel has a spaghetti dinner for us and then later had a “disco” where most of our tour group stayed out to party for a bit. I got challenged to a game of pool by our tour guide; thank goodness it was a close game because I didn’t want to deal with more razzing lol. A small group of us from our travel group partied pretty late outside on the balcony...how many people can say they have done that in Florence lol.
